Vaccinne and Autism
My views have changed after seeing Vaccine Wars. I have heard about the controversies in the past ,but I have not taken the time to research it myself. I didn’t fully understand when my mother had told me she won’t be taking my nephew for vaccination because it may cause autism. Her statement made me question why she thinks vaccines may cause autism until I saw the video.
I believe science has come a long way on preventing diseases in the past. I gave the entire scholar’s credit for protecting us despite all the controversies. Science may have given us an additional 30 years to our life span but what is the draw back? Scientist had said that there is no correlation between vaccine and autism, so why are people complaining that their child regressed?
I think vaccination does not work on everyone. Vaccination may have caused other children to regress and some are immune to the change depending on their genetic makeup. How can we distinguish that our vaccines may not work on certain individuals ? Should we take the risk and end up spending money on caring for disabled children? Where do we draw balance between nature and science? According to the video, the autism rate is increasing and it is difficult to muster what our future generation will be like if the controversy were true.
